CALIXTO Systems announces availability of Windows Embedded 6.x on their AM335x VERSA SOM and Evaluation Boards

BANGALORE, India, Feb. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Calixto Systems, a Bangalore-based electronics product enablement company, today announced that it has partnered with GRACE System Technology Labs (GRACELABS), a Bangalore-based technology firm offering software development and consulting services in the areas of device drivers, protocol stacks and operating systems, to support Windows® Embedded 6.0 (WinCE 6.0) on its System On Modules (SOM) and Evaluation boards (EVMs) based on Sitara™ AM335x ARM® Cortex™ A-8 processors from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI). Calixto is one of the first companies in the world to release SOM based on Sitara's AM335x ARM Cortex-A8 processors. The AM335x SOM has enabled Calixto to provide optimized, yet cost-effective platform for faster product development. Multiple customers worldwide have already used the AM335x SOM to develop products for industrial automation, Smart Grid, remote terminals, healthcare, handheld point-of-service (POS) terminals, etc. The support for WinCE 6.x to existing Linux, Android and Windows Embedded Compact 7(WEC7) operating systems provides customers an affordable choice to create new products or extend the existing line up.
